Getting Ready for the Race

Here it is Sunday, no racing this weekend. We wished we were but instead we prepared for the next race. Zach or "Chubz" got a new 20" GHP bike. Tony, Paul (Chubz's dad) and Chubz built the new bike. It was a pearl black with AtomLab wheels, it was awesome. Can't wait to see it on the race track. During the day we had hambugers on the grill with sides, Chubz helped Maggie, my youngest, build a Lego car. Zain was there, Chubz's little brother, who loves to play on Nickjr.com his favorite being Blues Clues. :-) Isabelle was doing her own thing with Mom. Won't be racing for a couple of weeks. It is hard on everyone.

The BMX Family

Our family was somewhat close before entering the bmx world, just not as close as we are today. My husband and daughters are bmx racers, I watch from the sidelines giving my support. My husband, Tony, use to race as a kid himself and eventually worked his way up to professional motorcross racing. I told him when the motor starts, my money stops funding the activity. :-)There is nothing better than on a nice spring, summer, fall day to go outside as a family and do some racing. It requires some travel and you do meet a lot of nice and interesting people doing the same thing. In the winter, there is always an indoor track to find to stay in shape. It has brought my family closer by working together for a similar goal and help each other become better friends and racers. Come out to a track near you, you'll be amazed at how addictive it is!
